New Music Sampler - 3.10.09
SNL Taco Town Recreation
A few people decided to create a real life version of the taco described in the following SNL skit:
Taco Town
Their creation looks like this:
And then... it gets deep fried. My arteries hurt just looking at it! You can get a play by play (with pictures) here. WARNING: You might want a TUMS before you take a look.
The final result is pictured below. My feeling is that this should definitely end up on "This is Why You're Fat". YIKES!

New Music Sampler - 3.3.09
I've decided to do a weekly blog series that features newly released tracks from some of my favorite bands and artists. This week, I am really digging three albums: Neko Case - MIDDLE CYCLONE, Bellx1 - BLUE LIGHTS ON THE HIGHWAY, and Coconut Records - DAVY. Check out the videos below for the latest singles from these albums.
Neko Case - People Got A Lotta Nerve
Listen to the rest of her album here.
Coconut Records - Any Fun
Microphone is the actually the official single, but I couldn't resist this little kid dancing. You can listen to more from Davy here.
Bellx1 - The Great Defector
Listen to a bit more of Blue Lights on the Runway, here.
The Crevasse 3D Street Art
I saw a picture of the 3D street art pictured below last week. Although I knew it was just paint, I was amazed at how real it looked.
I then found the following "Making Of" video on BuzzFeed. Although I am still amazed, I now feel little better knowing how it was made.
