I'd like to dedicate my 100th post to the great city that is Philadelphia. I've lived in Philly for almost three years now and I still continue to find new and interesting things about this town. I've posted some articles that detail the awesomeness of Philly along with a few pics of some of my favorite city spots. Also, be sure to check out The Next Great City's 10 Actions to bring renewed strength and energy to the neighborhoods of Philly!

One of my favorite places to pack a lunch and read a great book from the nearby Free Library.
I like to check out the ICA's art exhibits every so often. Saw a group sound installation there last year that was great!
Honey's Sit 'n Eat
The best breakfast the city has to offer.
Love stopping here after visiting Ubiq to hear some great music and people watch!

Stumbled across this movie trailer a few minutes ago on BuzzFeed (yes - that site has everything and is totally awesome). I think the movie looks great and it turns out that one of my favorite writers, Dave Eggers, has co-written the screenplay! I'm excited to see it in theaters...

I first heard of artist and designer Christopher Niemann through a BuzzFeed post a while back. Since then, I have been following his NY Times blog and am really enjoying "My Life With Cables" - his latest post. Check it out below. I've also posted a few of his other projects that I really like. Take a look!

WTMD, an independent Baltimore-based radio station, brings in a lot of great bands to play live in their studio. They record the sessions and post them at blip.tv. I enjoyed perusing them this morning and wanted to post two of my favorites here. Enjoy some great live music!
Adele - Right As Rain
Bellx1 - The Ribs of A Broken Umbrella

I've always been a John Mayer fan - his old tv series entitled "John Mayer Has a TV Show" (see video below) was totally hilarious. I also started following his Twitter updates and am really enjoying those as well.
However, what I'm really digging right now is his Battle Studies blog. He is using the blog to chronicle any of his new artistic endeavours. He blogs about everything from songwriting to new graphic design ideas. He recently posted the following video which shows him working on a song. I'm loving the fact that he is making his creative process so available.
John Mayer - Half of My Heart
And check out his TV show below - it's classic!

A few people decided to create a real life version of the taco described in the following SNL skit:
Their creation looks like this:
And then... it gets deep fried. My arteries hurt just looking at it! You can get a play by play (with pictures) here. WARNING: You might want a TUMS before you take a look.
The final result is pictured below. My feeling is that this should definitely end up on "This is Why You're Fat". YIKES!

I've decided to do a weekly blog series that features newly released tracks from some of my favorite bands and artists. This week, I am really digging three albums: Neko Case - MIDDLE CYCLONE, Bellx1 - BLUE LIGHTS ON THE HIGHWAY, and Coconut Records - DAVY. Check out the videos below for the latest singles from these albums.
Neko Case - People Got A Lotta Nerve
Listen to the rest of her album here.
Coconut Records - Any Fun
Microphone is the actually the official single, but I couldn't resist this little kid dancing. You can listen to more from Davy here.
Bellx1 - The Great Defector
Listen to a bit more of Blue Lights on the Runway, here.

I saw a picture of the 3D street art pictured below last week. Although I knew it was just paint, I was amazed at how real it looked.
I then found the following "Making Of" video on BuzzFeed. Although I am still amazed, I now feel little better knowing how it was made.
